OK, so old resources like pumpkins will be useless....but.....
What if you (like me) bought the pumpkinsematries last year, but due to lacking buildingspots you placed it in the starmenu for next year...???
Will i be able to build them next halloween, and if so ...... what pumpkins will i get...old ones... or new ones???
Or didnt the devs think so far ahead???

fishslice made a comment and in between lines he made a judgement towards me. Very well, I accept that I made the mistake. I still hate that most of the people were griefing. I have yet to witness such generosity, and will be looking forward from seeing one in trade. Will certainly look forward to seeing one. Considering that pvp is still in dippers this games is one of few where people actually help each other for real.
I hope that people in future will help each other even more due to changes caused by this event. I know I will. And again, i Love the way of change that the event resources are only usable for this event only.

We are on the same server so I am surprised that you haven't seen the generosity I speak of. That being said I truly appreciate the comment about accepting mistakes, if you want to add me sometime you will find I am always happy to help others in-game that are trying to create themselves a sustainable economy.

Note: to any others thinking of sending random invites. My offer to help people is based upon those people showing real effort to do the right thing in-game. I am fed up of helping people with tools and marble because they think at L25 they should maintain 3 unbuffed gold mines whilst they have only 1 or 2 L2 Marble Masons....
Is it really worth to attack on each others throats? Like many has said sneak peek is just a suggestion, a guidline what has been planned and it may change. Now it changed, what is really good thing.
I understand it is painfull for those who took a risk and started to buy old eggs. But you had to know, it was a risk where you only yourself make a decision to buy old eggs even the price went on the sky.
I made decision not to buy old eggs as price was so huge. I planned my gaming based on, that we may not have MMa or any good general on the event and not buying them with gemms either. All those resources where more important to keep, than just get old eggs. Now I am very pleased that I did that. I also listened some older player, who told that event may not come to live as it is on test. And that was also said on sneak peek. So if you lost all your resources for buying old eggs, you can only point fingers to yourself.
Also should you wait untill summerevent sneak peek+final statement, before making any assumptions, are old event resources worth of anything.. again nothing has been written on the stone!
BB are not known to ever listen to feedback or even bug reports. Not here and not on the test forums. That's why they reliably let bugs and broken features through from the test server and keep releasing the same bugs again and again. Notice how broken the specialist week is with all the lag? That's all old bugs that we get to enjoy a second time because the people calling the shots at BB are either deaf, stupid or both.
So a sneak peek in this game is highly likely to become a full feature. After all, we are talking about the people who introduced the explorer weeks even though there was a huge pile of bug reports and forum posts telling them that it was flat out still broken.
Did you know that it took the over a year to realise that they left way too few resources to players on the test server to do any actual tests. They wanted us to try the new combat system and weapons and left barely enough gems to get a cannon production chain up to lvl 5. They seemed to think that we should just wait for over a week for the regular upgrades before we tested the stuff. Their official stance to requests for more resources to do their jobs for them was "stop begging and part of the test is to play without gems". Yes, because they are obviously better equipped to tell how valuable out time is. They never seemed to realise that the reason people asked for more resources was because more resources were needed. That's the level of incompetence we're talking about here. Now after two years of tweaking and feedback, the test server is almost playable.
You should also have a little look at how much the developers know about in game economy. The answer is nothing. Getting a working economy in a large scale and persistant game is tricky. Hyperinflation and power creep are real problems so any new additions needs some careful consideration. Not for BB, they just throw stuff in there and when things get completely out of hands, they try to nuke it. The whole adventure loot revamp was caused by power creep. They completely failed to predict how much players would optimize adventures with guides, combat calculators and blocking. So what did they do to solve it? They gave us veterans, Master of Martial Arts, catapults, assassins and other stuff to skew the balance even more. The introduction of recycling manufacturers crashed the coal economy. The huge amount of schools available has killed the bread economy. The towers that let you convert wheat to gold has caused a heavy inflation. They keep introduce sources of resources but they forget about the sinks. That's also why they suddenly needed to remove the old resources and make new ones each years because their own incompetence has ruined the balance where old players can buy everything and new players are struggling. I bought 20 000 grout last event because I got so many Christmas presents and I even gave a bunch away to a friend. And I'm a completely free player. They broke the balance ages ago and they are once again trying to fix it with a sledgehammer. Check the provision house, you can sell event resources there. That's what BB thinks they are worth. Check the in game store and see the gem cost for resources. That's what BB thinks they are worth. I might give them the benefit of the doubt if we had seen even a small hint of intelligent life amongst the developers. They get the trust they deserve, none at all.
I think everyone knows that, who is playing this game any serious mindTo get everything free within 2 years after game was launched on live, killed the economy. Goldtowers gave too much goldcoins to this game etc. just one example.
So it is quite obviously, that something has to be done. But the matter, are those made with knowledge, is not subject of this thread anyway.

Zotamedu nails it perfectly. I wasn't a player yet when they introduced their idea of new combat system. I have read maybe half of the forum thread regarding combay system changes but that idea was dead even before its birth. Changes how they introduced it would have killed the game totally. I mean really killed - with splash damage for everyone it would have been literally impossible to low level players to make up new levels. Other than that, BB has never been known for listening customers as you can read from here in daily basis. This ongoing special week is a perfect example. Filled with bugs and no response at all.
I wrote my thoughts about new Easter event few pages ago. It was utterly unfair for new players. But did I actually believed they would change it? Nope. Of course it was a possibility but I wouldn't have been holding my breath waiting for it - it's because BB never seems to actually listen players. Did I buy old eggs? For sure. Can you blame anyone else doing the same? No, you can't. Did I break my economy because of it? Of course not, not even fraction of it. Should anyone else break their economy because of sneak peak? Never.
But anyway, BB didn't think at all when they introduced Easter event sneak peak. They did some serious harm for some players and big winnings for some. Upcoming summer event will show how big the damage was. But even tying up your resources for items which value you just simply can't know for months will harm many players. Unfortunately BB has no idea how the economy works in the game. And level of their errors cost more and more every time. We'll be very soon in a state where there is no coming back and this game dies because of this extremely stupid design.

Not directed at you but I am seeing this a lot, Nowhere have BB said there will be a summer event. What they have said is...
"During Summer season a special time span is planned where all former event resources can be used again to gain event items from the past (Easter, Football, Halloween, Christmas, etc.)"
A special time span should not be assumed as an event. It could just be a period of time within the merchant.
