Corona, first of all they need to know what they are doing. U can't do such changes when old eggs are limited and when some ppl have spend little fortune for em.
They can change for example price of watermill, or instead of watermill u will be able to get imp silo.
Changes like this at this point can't do serious devs.
what they do? they just made delay for 2014 easter shop, you still will able to spend old eggs

It's not only the delay. U weren't able to buy mma with new eggs and that is NR 1 reason why ppl were buying old eggs and why those eggs were so expensive.
They could predict that a limited product with high demand will create ingame market turmoils. In general - its simple common sense, and as well - that is why they receive their salaries.
Never underestimate the overwhelming stupidity in overwhelming numbers.
