Is that all you can say? Did it occur to you that maybe those people hoarding items are those that invest a lot of time and money playing? Way to look after your loyal player base BB.
I mean, phasing out the old event resources... I can get that... I really can... But, at least, give us something new to spend the old eggs on instead of re-opening last years shop without refreshing any of the buying limits.
As the plan stands from this Dev Diary, it really is a 'shark jumping' moment.
Hmm, I always spent out of event resource after each event, but those with loads left should get some compo I think.
I found that I bought what I wanted and so from last years easter I have 186 eggs left over. not much but would have helped towards new stuff in this year. same with pumpkins and presents I have some left over after helping lower levels in my guild and buying what I wanted / needed, it is not a stockpiling trying to beat the event on day 1 it was what was left over at the end of the event.
why is itnow 3 years in that you are only making event 'currency' only valid for that specific year ? are the stripey eggs going to be no good at end of 2015 easter event?

i dont see the issue if you cant use the old eggs now beacuse you have everything that was on offer either sell on TO or trade for the new eggs there is bound to be a lot of players still requiring the old eggs for stuff they couldnt afford last time and this will be there final chance to use up the eggs
I remember the event that bb had us making balloons to pop out of as much of our resources they could get us to use up - this sounds the same idea "lets make them shed some stuff to lighten our servers workload having to count them"
And those 2 awful words reappear yet again - "buff adventures".
So either another 'resource sink', or based on the pure luck of what random collectables materialise.
At least the old maps gave everybody an equal chance, even if Egg No. 42 did keep vanishing.
