Im happy for this reduction. ive been using all my iron bars since the easter event started , some days ive been doing 12 attack cavs per day others like this morning only 4 attack cavs so the reduction is very welcome however will i get back some iron bars now then i have gathered 192 attack cavs and 232 attack bowmen ?

why doesnt the rest of the defence troops cost steel bars?

Players like us hit the 'ceiling' fast and then we can leave or make our own challenges.
Where is the challenge in building smelters and mining ore or buying those with other resources? The challenge in pvp are the other players and with lower costs the challenge will be greater.
Your comment proves you have played little if any PvP .The challenge in PvP isn't the other players , it is ( or rather was ) an economic one. Any one who has played PvP knows that any defences a player builds on their colony can be overcome with ease. The trick was to make it so expensive that it was off-putting to potential attackers. We did this by building defences that contained just archers which can only be countered effectively with the most expensive unit which was attack cavalry. Also the trick was to incur as minimal losses as possible so you had some troops left over for the next colony. Now there is no need to bother trying to find the best and cheapest route to the boss camp as troop costs have been slashed dramatically ! Also switching troops around during attacks is no longer vitally important - if you lose a battle it doesn't matter as you will have 6 times more troops than before. The economic challenge in PVP is gone - the challenge now is how fast and how many you can do ( no thinking required ). A bit like RB and BK - rinse repeat.

So you're advocating for a broken design? You are suggesting it was needed/advised to use JUST ONE type of defense troops? Are you serious? I hope you can see the flaw in your reasoning...

As a heads up to those with last year's collectibles remaining, the Hidden Egg Hunt Buff has returned to the Mayor's Collections tab.

From a server that's had this maintenance:

    and one that hasn't:

The Hidden Egg Hunt lets you gift 10 old dotted eggs to a friend whilst receiving 10 yourself instead of just making the Festive Egg Basket for 10 of your own. It would have been nice if its delayed return had made it into the changelog, as this from the Dev Diary doesn't mention it:

Last year's buff "Egg hunt" can be used. You can also use last year's Easter Collectibles to produce last year's "dotted" Easter eggs. These can be used later this year.

No - this player explained where is the PvP in this feature. Ofc that using only 1 type of troops is silly, but now all the troops costs almost the same. So you think that this is improvement? Now we have only 1 type of troops more or less - only the picture and their name is different and the resources needed are different.
