You call "Six nations" a World cup? Same as the world cup for American football - Only USA participates :P
Remember, remember the 25/11? You should have seen what happened on 17/03, 14/04 and 21/04 ...
29/09 seems to be a major problem...

Six Nations is exactly what is say - six nations, England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy. The Rugby World Cup is again what it says, countries from all over the world competing for the trophy, just as in the football world cup. The Six Nations is competed for every year whereas the Rugby World Cup is every 4 years. So really nothing like the NFL or even indeed the Baseball world series.

I'm going to say No, as this will open the door to every single sporting event there is, next we will be having the Egg and spoon event because it is sports day.

Keep it as is; World Cup and Euros, as football is the worlds most widely played sport, and maybe something for the Olympics.

Even though originally from the States (well known for the 'World Series' like MCLueppers pointed out) I have to agree: In New Zealand everyone would want Rugby, in other countries Cricket, etc. - the World Cup is the widest played and viewed sport on the planet and if you have to pick only one I think that reaches the most people.
Sorry, but I've slept since then...
