The font size in the chat panes is very small, and I can't find any way of making it bigger. Even if I use the browser's magnify function (firefox or chrome), it stays the same size. I guess this is because Flash isn't affected.
Please can you either use a bigger font or give us a button to increase the size?
On Chrome I can get the font bigger with Ctrl+mouse wheel or zooming from the Chrome menu. That zooms everything on the page.

ohh yes please - I also have problems reading it, and I dont want to use chrome. If I zoom out the text does not get any bigger.
Besides that the text is like stepping 20 years or more back in time with black back ground, it is not nice to read and for me also too much contrast. Would prefer something like how this forum is, a light but not white back ground and dark text.

Thinking about it, I agree with Urd123, but if the text could also be bold it would be even easier to read. I don't like using chrome for Settlers, but prefer Firefox, and Firefox's menu "bigger" command doesn't seem to do anything to the chat - or indeed the game
Same here, larger font would be nice, specially with higher resolution monitors, chat is tiny!
I agree as my eye sight is not good. I always have to change the font colour in Whisper. It seems perverse to CHOOSE something so difficult by default.
