So why are you not requesting that the Sector Deeds be coin purchases instead?
Surely, if BB put them at 200k coins each (roughly same value as 8500 stalks) they would alter the entire economy to something near what you want.

If you wish to buy sector deeds losing only the coins you have in stock then may I may a radical sugestion that you use trade to convert coins to stalks.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's

They were after a coin-sink that actually takes coins out of the game... buying stalks just moves coins around in the game.

The first rule of this game is "Buy Gems!". The secound rule is "The first rule will never be changed!". Prices of rare items (bought by gems or droped in gems adventures) will be always very high because, most of the players dont want to spend money in gems and there's some hard workers players that have gold coins and they can beat any offer for a rare item. Gem buyers can access gold coins easy buy selling rare/gem items and they will overprice common resources they need to buy. if you "remove" gold coins from hard workers (non gem buyers) few players can buy rare items then, gem buyers cant make that profit from selling gem items and only buy gems for their natural needs = BB dont make profit = end game

Actually ... the first rule of the game is " follow the tutorial " and the second ... " don't spend , build or do anything without a quest asking for it !!!!
There is absolutely no reason to spend large amounts of money in this game.
Over the years all " gem bought " items have been available in events which do not require gems to gain those buildings or items.
It does require patience tho and that might be what gems can offer you.... the ability to not be patient and move on faster in the game.
That is a choice, not a rule !!!!
The ability to " save " your weekly gem reward for daily login, will alow you to spend gems in events so ... you can actually not spend
any money and still get everything you want / need in the game.

I am surprised how little coins are used in the new content. Guess BB has some data that suggests amount of coins in economy isnt constantly growing..

dont see the relevance. when there was much less coins in the game gems were still sold. if coins would be removed altogether gems would just be sold for something else.

although i have spend some euros in the game, it was more of a way to say thank you for the nice 3-4 years i am playing.

When i started, the real help was the veteran general. I paid for him. It was i think the only thing "needed" all else where optional.
Ofc, after some events, eventually veteran would also be given as an event reward, but then you had to wait.

Even without it, and just leveling up, completing quests, using daily login's, then be patient enough to buy the first gem pit, the thing goes on automatic pilot. Then after a while you get the second gem pit, then the third comes much sooner, and in 2, maybe 2.5 years you have a lot of gems, for free or almost for free.

That's okay but a limit has been placed (unless that has changed) on how many gem pits you can buy, so eventually you will run out =BB wins

Maybe a mad dash by some but I plan to creep along i.e. tipping ones toe in the water

BB already lost at the second they added more than one pit available for gems and not real cash. Players can get the remaining or even the first one for "free". Now with the extra levels it will be even "easier" as you get gems from level ups and level up achievements.

BTW there was a thread about this at test:
