In the bandit camp there was 44 Horseman. I sent MMA general with 220 Cavalry. The result in the picture. 44 Horseman died, MMA with 220 C died, but the camp with 0 enemy exists.

You had no surviving troops to tear down the camp ( the countdown bar phase).
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
This happen always where combat ends with the death of both sides on the same round. Mostly this happen with ranged units.
Sending any general with 1 recruit to tear down the camp will finish it off - if you want to tear it down more quickly an attack with 1 of each troop type will speed it up
