various sounds keep disappearing from game...geos / explorer search send and return also battle start and end sounds...
having to open event window and click the tick for them to return ...

worked a treat...yet to test on battlefield but i guess there should be no problem...thank you again for the solution :-)
Lots of people, including me a little ago. Clicking the tick fixed mine and brought my empty News tab back to life. o.O There may be stickier cases that want refreshing but this workaround is odd enough, and can be instant enough, I had to comment and bump it, nice catch! no sound once again ....i got not intercepted warning... lost many elites ..horses...and cannons!!! rebuild time like 12hrs!!...cant adventure and i suppose the management think this is they way to get people to spend money when game is riddled with bugs like this!!!
why is it your stupid company can fix stuff when it works for them but then cant do anything about bugs which cost player loads of troops

You know, I actually had to think about commenting in this thread. While I do completely understand how frustrating TSO can be, ATHTHEMANIAC you have a history of going a little overboard with the insults.
So I do thank you for the Quick Fix and feel for your bugloss but you might rethink how you express some of your anger.
All I can say is this is driving me nuts, I try the event window thing.
I solved this problem by clicking on the icon with the pumpkin where counting down to the end of the event and then click on the question mark (?). Fine and both times when I had news tab problems.
