Would be nice.
It would also help to be able to say "oh yeah my mahogany sawmill is in sector xxx" to a friend offering to buff. With no shortcut the new sectors haven't really got nice shorthand names.

HOTFIX!
+1 please if possible
Was going to suggest the vigesimal system but that fails at 12.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
Good idea, shift 1 to 0 maybe ?
If BB add shortcuts then we have a definitive answer for how the numbering scheme should be. At the moment we use a1-a10 in guild where a1 is the free sector, a2 is the gem bought beside it and then increasing the number as you move to the right.
I myself would prefer to switch 2 and 3 around though, so the gem bought was sector 3 rather than sector 2. The reason for that is that I think about it as a graph with vertices and edges, where each sector is a vertex and there is an edge between sectors only if your settlers and generals can walk over the border. The free sector is only directly connected to the stalk bought. The gem bought is only directly connected to the first stalk bought. The first stalk bought is directly connected to the free sector, the gem bought sector, and the second stalk bought sector.
The free sector is really too small to need a shortcut, so it would be okay to leave that out and call that one sector 0 without any shortcut, and let the others be 1-9.
