Finally recieved a reply to this problem after 2 weeks and missed mail, re-submitted a ticket because the reply was beyond belief. When I send a ticket in I half expect someone to actually investigate the problem and maybe put in motion steps to fix it.

Definition of this geologist is wrong. I have another geologist with ability to find extra iron, marble, stone. So I have more "wherever possible" deposits. Also there is one marble, one stone and one iron deposit which can be found, but it doesn't count in his profile. His description is miss-leading players (like me).

Hello everybody,

First of all, let me explain the basics to understand this post:

• Conscientious Geologist: This is the geologist that was available during Halloween.
• Conscientious: is a passive ability from Conscientious Geologist that will find an additional deposit on every search whenever is possible.
• Quality Mineshafts: there are 3 Mineshafts that you can get in talent tree (Copper, Coal and Gold). Each point give you 15% to get a mine that can be mined faster (which means 50% of original production time).

The problem here is the combination of Quality Mineshafts and Conscientious, for all arguments let’s consider having 3/3 in Mineshafts (which gives a 45% chance to get it):

1 – Searching for a Mine with Mineshaft and Conscientious:
A normal search, without Conscientious, would do: Search roll a percentile dice, which means rolling from 1 to 100 and if you get between 1 and 45 the mine will be Mineshaft, 46 to 100 not mineshaft.
However, with conscientious you will either get 2 mines with Mineshaft or 2 mines without, you can’t get 1 with mineshaft and other without it… which means that theoretically there are 45% to get mineshaft on BOTH mines (mathematically the chance to get both should be much less).
Probably it shouldn't be working like this...

2 – Mineshaft Bug:
When you find two mines with Mineshaft, only one gets the bonus production but both shows the icon saying it reduced, see pics below:

Coal Normal Production Time: 00:01:30
Coal Mineshaft Production Time: 00:00:45
Copper Normal Production Time: 00:03:00
Copper Mineshaft Production Time: 00:01:30

This happened for all the 20 searches I've done.

The skill quality copper mineshafts of conscientious geollgist it doesnot work on the other deposit.

I believe that since this geologist was introduced (or perhaps when it was 'fixed') that the skills to find 2 in 1 are no longer working for other Geos (Jolly and tavern bought).

Before we got the new Geo, I used to regularly wake up to my marble deposits being empty (all 10) and would send out my 4 skilled Geo's to find Marble. Usually in 2 searches, they would find the 10 deposits (4x2)+2 bonus due to the skills. For the last while, I have noticed that when I send 2 sets of 4 Geo's out to find marble, they regularly find 8 deposits leaving me to believe that the 2 in 1 skill is no longer working. (I realize there is a % change that I have just been unlucky and that there is a chance that I just haven't found the extra deposit, but the more times this happens the less likely it seems to me that it is just random chance).

No problems with the 2 in 1 skill here when looking for Marble.
