    [Sneak Peek] Guild Quest Rework

    First insights: Rework of Guild Quest

    A Sneak Peek is supposed to provide you with a brief first impression about one of upcoming game versions/features.
    Please keep in mind that it may not reflect the final version of the content, only the test version status.
    Once the game version is finalised, a corresponding Dev Diary will be published.

    Dear Settlers,

    On top of the recent improvements to the current Guild Quests, the dev team worked on some
    exciting general changes regarding the Guild Quests. These can already be tested on the > Test Server <
    This Sneak Peek gives an insight into the content and advantages of these changes.


    What has been changed?
    • The main Quest has been disconnected from the guild leader to allow a Guild Quest to be finished even in his or her absence
    • All guild members, active and inactive, will now receive new guild quests
    • To allow for regular quests for all guilds, the main quest is automatically finished once per day
    • The Guild Quests rewards are now based on the percentage of guild members finishing their tasks
    • All existing guild main quests got two additional sub quests, one for level range 51 - 65 and one for 66 - 75
    • The content of the guild quest window will be adjusted to provide better feedback of the quest progress



    FAQ
    • Does that mean that the guild quest is available for all members, even if the guild leader is flagged as offline/inactive?
      Guild members will not be flagged as "offline" anymore. All guild members will receive the guild quest, even if the guild leader is absent for a longer period of time.
    • Quests finish once per day, so every guild will now receive the same amount of quests?
      Yes. Previously, it was possible that some guilds would have a guild quest active for a longer period of time than others. Now, the amount of guild quests you can participate in is no longer limited by the guild members or activity.
    • Rewards are now a percentage of the guild members who finished their tasks? Doesn't that mean I get less rewards?
      No. On average you will likely receive at least the same amount of rewards as before. For example, guilds might have 79 members finishing a task and previously they missed one player to reach the next reward tier. In that example, all players will now receive the amount for 79 players finishing the quest.
    • What are the new quests for level 50+?
      Already existing main quests have a new sub quest for the 51 - 65 and 66 - 75 level ranges. Those quests still have the theme of the main quest, but are more challenging than the corresponding sub quests below level 50. More info on those requirements and quests will likely follow in a future dev diary.

    The dev team is still working on the new guild quest system. Here is an overview of the most recent changes.
    You can already test it on > tsotesting.com <

    What is new in the current test version?
    • Guild Quest Rewards now take the number of guild members and the daily participation percentage into account
    • Since the quest reward is automatically scaled to guild size, guild quest tiers have been removed. Guilds can now obtain any of the 64 random guild quests and guilds are not restricted to for example only quests from the 75-100 member tier
    • The rewards for smaller and bigger guilds has been increased for every quest
    • Guild members only receive the reward if they finished their own guild quest
    • As before, guilds still need at least 10 members to be eligible for a guild quest

    The list below shows the current reward values. The left number shows the guild size
    and the right number the reward if every member completed their guild quest:


    Please keep in mind that final feature values may differ.


    If there are less members completing a guild quest, the overall reward is decreased by that percentage.
    That means 80% guild quest completion equals 80% of the listed reward.
    Example
    For a 86 member guild, the maximum reward is: 243 guild coins.
    If 76 members finish their quest, the completion rate is: 76 actives / 86 total members = 88.37%
    With that completion rate in mind, the reward is: 243 coins x 88,37% = 214,73 coins (rounded up to 215 coins)

    PLEASE NOTE: The game always rounds up. Side effect: Guild members might receive 1 guild coin extra.
