I didn't take the time to canvass this forum in order to see if a similar suggestion has already been made and if it has already, my apologies.
As you go up with levels and/or spend gems, you'll eventually reach a number of generals that borders on the ridiculous. It would be far easier if we could just group them up and send an entire group to a location if we so desired. Of course, selecting only one general shouldn't be altered, we need the fine tuning for blocking and for troop selection, but the ability to move, say, 10 generals at once to a desired spot in the map and then fine tune their position would be a great addition I think.
Also, as a variant of that idea, and to make blocking a tad bit easier, you could group up the generals involved in an attack in a mini-menu feature and assign a button to each one and ONLY pop up the action buttons, disregarding the troop selection. The troops that each general is carrying can be easily checked as it's already the case, by making said info float above the general portrait when you hover the mouse over their button.
That way, you can always click on each general individually to select troops and to position them as you want, but you can easily forgo the troop selection window when you're just attacking and/or relocating.
The way it is now (and has been for the past years) is unnecessarily cumbersome. Having over half of your screen filled up with useless info when I just want to send the general to another place or to do an attack is very, very irritating.
