where the locked and stickied Rules post informs players we are not allowed to create new threads but that a feedback thread will be created for "every single news." The 'thread for every news' has been pretty obviously not true for a very long time, isn't always necessary and should be removed as a "rule."

The idea of generating forum activity and spreading good wishes was a nice one, and worked well on forums that linked the homepage to an open New Year's thread but clearly, and unfortunately, fell rather flat here.

The issue has been fixed and the link now leads to a thread used for "Thank you!" messages.
