If I recall correctly the ones which return to star where from the last Xmas event, These ones are bugged as they are not supposed to return to star, I was under the impression BB had fixed them so that they did not return to star.

I think you might be getting confused with the Arctic Iron Mine from the Xmas 2016 Calendar, which had a similar bug.
It was fixed in the 24.01.2017 update.

It was Arctic iron mine, we got a lot of fun for this in a forum, but this special gold mine could be from another older event, back to 2015 maybe.
