I've noticed since the patch that often I send my Geologists off to find something and there is sometimes no notification in the News tab when their search is over.
Example: this screenshot shows two geologists (Fast ones with two and three levels in Tendentious Geologist) sent off to search for Stones at the same time. One would take 42 seconds, the other takes 48 seconds to complete the search. I get a notification for one of them but not for the other on completion.
Also note that the fail notification says 'Did not find a new Stones deposit in your claimed sectors' instead of the usual wording 'you already have too many deposits of that type'. Previously the 'in your claimed sectors' message was an indication that you had become desynced from the server and needed to reconnect or refresh. Now, however it seems to be the standard wording for all failed searches but there's no info about that in the patch notes.
