I may well be wrong, but I always thought that `maintenance' referred to maintenance of the servers ( hardware ) not the game software. They may well have done some game upgrades and bug fixes at the same time or with the specific `maintenance' change logs but not every week. I assumed ( again maybe wrong ) that the scripts were now the preferred alternative to `maintenance' of the game software.
As and when bug fixes become available ( necessary ) we would be given notice of the required `down time' and they would be applied there and then, not at the usual time of a regular `maintenance'. This to me is where BB are moving to, I'm not saying its a good thing, but I can see how it makes more `economic' sense for a game of this age. What I would like to see however is a follow up to the change log from BB_Ravel of what was actually applied rather than what was proposed, as this may help when pin pointing subsequent bugs from the `fixes'
