    general is not where he sems to be

    The first two pictures are my general intercepted a camp he never came near, and the camp is still there.
    3 image is my one block where my soldiers are not in the fight, it says 0 S instead of 62 S from the start of

    Here's the fight that Intercepted before he went to the leader, he never came near the camp on his trip so I could not even see it before the fight was finished.

    Here is the MMA I sent off against the leader.

    Here he lies and rests after I've been back on my island and come back to the Black Knight. So it gives the sudden sense that he was intercept.
    I just could not see it because everything looked like the picture.

    At first I thought I'd caught a case of this 0 troops version: QM /BK bug - 0/0 troops in battle report (Be worth looking hard at the "QM"" in that and even the "BK" to be certain, corona88's usually very good about figuring these things.)

    But after digging around and realising I'd refreshed before I should have and missed something, it appears I have what eckhausen has. If that also involved a starred general placed and then moved it's definitely the same thing.

    Shipped out to Black Knights, one MoMA landed in the star. Rather than listening to my own bug-qualms I decided to risk it and for a while everything looked normal. Due to the bug reports about starred Generals I was watching and everyone went where they should, fought valiantly, and returned as expected.

    When it was over things were very different, it turned out MoMA had, at some point and invisibly, *hopped* and left a dirt patch behind him:

    The hop got him intercepted by a camp he should have avoided completely:

    He carried on to the main camp:

    and instead of returning from one fight minus only some Recruits, all he brought back from the two battles were the 18 Cannon in the first image.

    Just for completeness, while it was BK in this case, no Quartermasters were along. The only "unusual" thing was a MoMA landing in the star when it looks like he shouldn't have.

    General is really not where he appears to be. (Neither are the others.)

    Black Knights ('cause it's BK season,) no Quartermaster.

    Earlier today one Tavern Gen landed in the star:

    [09:56] System: There are not enough landing zones on the target island. Your general has been returned to your star menu and his troops have been unassigned.

    The topbar troops list showed 40 Cav and 160 Recs as "unassigned."

    Moved some landed gens, refreshed and found he'd climbed out of the star by himself and still had his full troop load:

    The topbar troops list now showed 0 troops as "unassigned." From there on everything went as it should with no surprises.

    ~~~
    Later, on another BK (still in season ), a MoMA landed in the star. Sort of. Again no QMs were present.
    [12:31] System: There are not enough landing zones on the target island. Your general has been returned to your star menu and his troops have been unassigned.
    Landing Zone:
    Topbar troops mouseover:
    Switched islands a few times for [reasons] and went afk for a while for Real Life meaning to refresh on returning and see where things went, but when I came back things had already changed:
    Landing Zone:
    Topbar troops mouseover:
    Not only had the "starred" MoMA built himself, with his troops, many other Generals had moved as well.
    It looks more and more like this "general is not where he seems to be" bug and this QM /BK bug - 0/0 troops in battle report have the same roots. Possibly something like this:
    This is most happen in BK (can happen also in other adventures) because BK landing zone have bug.
    game show as general go in star and you can use units from that general, but actually that generals has landed and units are in that general
    ~~~

    Moral of the story: Be very very careful with starred Generals on adventures, refreshing and/or switching islands and/or giving them time to sort themselves out may help but even so, proceed with care until it's certain they are everything they say they are.

    Has anyone seen either this weirdness or the "0/0 troops in battle report" on Not-BK lately and/or when they're certain no General was starred?

    http://forum.thesettlersonline.net/t...-Before-Attack Looks like gens and game doesn´t like BK at the moment. I have also lost Cannons and Elites in troop,some of other troops were unloaded before attack by game itself,didnt take screen of it so have no prove. After that I stay and watch all fights on adv-check troops several times before sending attack,so far so good

    Since I lost troops to this bug I've been ensuring that I transfer a general to another location before attacking with him, even if this means moving him back because he landed in the right spot. Since adopting this policy I have suffered no surprise losses.
    When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's

    +1

    Since yesterday, when the Tavern fellow above developed free will and the others danced, I've done the same. So far so good and a little time spent juggling them seems well spent. That's a fair few BKs, and no unpleasant surprises. Here's hoping it holds as a workaround until this is sorted.

    Edit for clarity: For me it's been every general, including starred fellows, landed or placed on the map and then moved to a new spot before using any of them. May be overcautious, but those 90 Cannoneers stung.

    Still curious how much the "BK" part is like the "QM" part. The Quartermaster is huge (for now) so it's fitting the problem would show first and most on him but the problem isn't just his. Black Knights is probably the most popular often played adventure these days so any issues would show up fastest there, but...

    Thanks for that.
    Sorry, but I've slept since then...
