First insights: The upcoming (Football) Summer Event
Sneak peek is a brief information about one of the upcoming game versions and may not reflect the final status of the content. Once the game version is finalised, a corresponding Dev Diary will be published.
This year's Summer Event will most likely be activated worldwide on June 14th (01:00 BST) and will be running for 3 weeks plus 1 week during deactivation phase. The first version is planned to be deployed on the international test server on Thursday, April 14th. Visit the test environment (link) to have a closer look and make sure to share your feedback on the test server forum!
If it's not broke, don't fix it: most of the features from the previous Summer Events will return with some minor changes. We've upgraded the football adventures to use the newer Scenario adventure UI, we've rebalanced the collectibles to reflect the feedback received in 2014 and, of course, we've also added a cool new trophy to add to your collection!

A new type of building is introduced with this Event: Culture building!
You can use it to apply zone-wide buffs at the cost of resources.- New Achievements
The Summer 2016 Event introduces new football-related achievements.
On top of the glory, you also get Event resources to spend as you wish.- Event Calendar
21 doors will become available and will provide event adventures as well as nice daily gifts.- Event adventures
Special event adventures can be redeemed from the event calendar doors.
These buff adventures are inspired by football matches and player positions.
New: Adventure tournament mode - an event adventure cannot be started if the previous one wasn't finished successfully.
A corresponding Dev Diary will follow with more details on the major features added on top of the 2014 Summer Event.
