How to include an image in your forum post

There are two basic ways to upload an image to the forum, depending on whether the image is a screenshot, or saved to your computer.

    For a saved image:

The easiest way is to use the image uploader here.

Here you can choose the file you want to use, and upload it

The next screen will provide a code to copy and paste directly into your forum post

be sure to copy all the brackets!

    From a screenshot:

If your image is produced using Lightshot or other screenshot app, the process is a little more complex.

Take your screenshot, and OPEN it, rather than copy the screenshot link provided.

Then right click on the image in the browser, and choose Copy image address from the menu.

On your forum post, click the Insert Image button above the text box

This will open a window, in which you can paste the Image address you just copied. Using the screenshot address (eg prntscrn....) will result in your image not showing in the post.

Press ok, and you are ready to go

    Thumbs up

I've made an easy image uploader in 2014.
Here you can upload your image to place in the forum. (Only JPG images are supported at the moment)
    Have fun

    http://www.safeunderdark.com/img/

    for bigger: click image

Then you'll get something like this:
(If you get an error check the image and try again *please note: currently only .jpg files are correctly supported
it is possible a thumb isn't generated because the uploaded image is too small, if so please use the full image code)

    for bigger: click image

This is All automatically generated by it, just copy/paste and voila:
    Thumb code :
    [ URL="http://www.safeunderdark.com/img/TSO/TSO-187.jpg"][ img]http://www.safeunderdark.com/img/TSO/thumbs/TSO-187.jpg[/img]for bigger: click image[/URL ]

    Generates this:

    for bigger: click image

    Full image code:
    [ img]http://www.safeunderdark.com/img/TSO/TSO-187.jpg[/img]

    Will get you this:

Thank you for your interest, happy settling

    love,

    Amy

    Hi Everyone!

If you like to post an image on a topic you need an external ímage server' to put your images..

I've run one for years, and now, after five years it's time to update it a bit..

You now can not only upload .jpg, but also .gif and .png images.
Even animated gif wil, if not too big, work.
including with some other new features we have added more security:
    * SSL connection
    * Indecipherable filename (not just numbers you can add up)

Please feel free to test it and give your comments below.

    thank you

    We have updated the uploader:

    * .sc1 files now will be converted correctly to .png * error will be displayed if file can not be converted or extension is not supported

Supported image types are: JPG or JPEG, PNG and GIF (even animated GIF's but not all, depending on size..)..
Also SC1 image files are supported and converted to PNG files.

Please let me know if there are any issues
the new uploader is scheduled to become live March 1st..
