    Specing Geologist

I'm starting to skill up my first Geologist and have 3 points in "natural copper vein" so I was thinking of going for "Quality Copper Mineshafts",but to get it I have to spend "5 books in the levels below". Given that I only have a certain amount of points to work with I really don't want to spend points in things I consider unnecessary,so what would be my best options? I was going to make this Geo concentrated around Ore-skills and have my next one be about marble and things like that.

You noticed that before I did... I made a lot of mistakes at first. You definitely need to plan the long term and watch the book count carefully. Unfortunately, there will be times you need to pick a skill that is useless for the way you want to use the specialist. Try to pick the most logical ones if you can but sometimes there just isn't a good choice. One thing that might help - finding stone and copper are rather fast... marble slower and then iron/coal/gold (I'm sure you know all that) - but I've found that having more than one person skilled in marble/iron is very helpful. When I've found all my copper mines I can use him on something else.

    Hope that helps.
Sorry, but I've slept since then...
