The free gem option I tried was to read all the pages in an article that appears in a game browser window.

The one chosen was the Ginger spice one.

Unfortunately the way the page displays you cannot view all the pages, you cannot go back to a previous page and the way links for other things on the page are setup so that it's very easy to click on the wrong links.

So, no thank you - you can keep your free gems and as far as buying some - forget it.

Btw I bet the mods either delete this posting or at the very least - nothing will get done about the article.

from a very unhappy Settlers player.

    Merged.
I can assure you that the "free gems" offered are legitimate, but we cannot control how quickly a promotional provider takes on providing said gems (some are faster than others). We first ask you to contact the provider's support directly regarding any gem offer if there's a significant problem or delay. If this is unsuccessful, please contact our support with the gem offer and any additional feedback you have regarding the provider it came from.

sorry your wrong on the whole they may seem legit but overall its a con ..example i did a offer spent some considerable time jumping through all the hoops and completed it now even though i started getting spammed from the company and i was getting their newsletter i never recieved a confirmation email now to everyone but a moron you could tell i had signed up cause of all the rubbish i was now getting plus the offers of doing more surveys..but nope i didnt get my gems so emailed the support but they wouldnt have any of it because i didnt get a confirmation email.... now this is where they get you not everyone will get a email just enough to show its working the rest can whistle for it.
because they will have what they need your details your email and will get paid out but the poor fool who did the work gets nothing...i know other games who do these free offers and they ended up getting rid of them because so many players where scammed

Not all of them are bad...
I did one yesterday that was to earn 19 gems requiring me to take a quiz. It was a quiz on sports. You had to get 10 right in a row, and some of them were tough. But I was rewarded the gems, I didn't have to sign up for anything, there were no annoying ads in your face so all in all I was pleased with that one. If I see others by the same company I'll give them a go.

But at the same time I advise caution because on some that required an email address I gave them one I only use for online signups and boy am I getting spammed in that account now.
Sorry, but I've slept since then...

It is mostly a scam company.
Just read about them on the net. The scam warning is all over the place.

For a period earlier this year it worked pretty ok but since 2-3 weeks they are scamming almost every survey you do.
    It goes like this:
    1. When you report that you get no gems and send proof the send an automated mail that ask you to send a proof.
    2. You send a screenshot over mail and then they reply they want even more proofs of other things like you mail etc.
    3. You send even more screenshots to them and they reply that you do not get rewards if you did not complete offer. The screenshot shows it was completed.
    4. Sometimes when you keep complaing past step 4 they claim they have a technical error and the gems will arrive with hours.
    5. No gems arrive offcourse and you complain. There is no mail showing you got the game in settlers or does the Fuber log show that any gems where sent.
    6. You complain again and they say you do only get credited once.
    7. You complain again and say that there is no trace that any transaction has been done, not even on their page,
    8. They ask for proof that you did the survey...

    and it all goes around.

All above is automated message to make people tired of complaining after getting scammed.

Bluebyte, as long as you link to such company YOU are a part of the scam!

They dont read the mail you write. I sent stories about my little pony and got a reply that they need more proof... automated offcourse.

    Also Bluebyte must be scammed.
Fuber gets all the data, information and user details. They send no info to bluebyte that the user completed it and thus they do not pay any money to BB. Since BB gets no money they give no gems to the user.
Fuber gets all they want and they get it for free by scamming via bluebytes homepage.

Try the quiz ones (in the free section). They have worked for me and don't require sending any information. They will only work once for each particular quiz.
Sorry, but I've slept since then...

Message one: Ohh its a technical problem dont worry! You will get them....later (but you wont since you will have given up by then)

    ******** Message ********

Thank you for getting in touch!

Unfortunately a technical issue is causing delays and is preventing us from crediting your account.

We are working hard on this problem. You will then automatically receive all the missing credits.

We apologize for the delay you have experienced and are looking forward to resolving this matter for you shortly!

    Best regards,

    Freddy
    Fyber Support Team

Message 2: Ohh you did not send correct confirmation details. They have all, my fyber id, email, screenshot of the screen with star rating that you get ONLY after you have completed a survey, everything! But no, it's not enough, they want more!

Thanks for your response and attachment!

Unfortunately, the proof provided does not contain something personally identifiable, such as registration e-mail and date proof from the advertiser.

Under these circumstances, we cannot make any payment (at least for the time being).

Please send us definitive, personalized confirmation of your completion of the offer, or complete one of the other similar offers we are currently running!

    Thank you for your understanding!

    Best regards,

    Steve

I'm sorry to break this to you Saqui, but having performed a simple search in my friendly neighbourhood search engine, I turn up reports from users of several other online games that are making the exact same complaints that I am reading here: failure to provide rewards, unreasonable demands for proof, support tickets going round in circles and (this is the crunch) game companies referring those complaints to Fyber support because the offers are out with the gaming company's control, which is obviously not true as they have the ultimate control over the offers: the power to discontinue partnering with such an obvious bunch of swindlers!

It works sometimes, but more than 50% end of the time you get nothing. If you report it you just get mails asking for screenshots. If you send screenshots they ask for even more screenshots and so on...

Offcourse they have full control of the surveys done. If a company can not handle data and 50% is lost it will cease to exist quite fast.
They just simply do not pay for your work hoping you will give up reporting that you did not get what you should have got.

Fyber is a scam company, for sure, even if they pay sometimes.

    It works like this.
    - A company ask Fyber to collect data through surveys. They pay Fyber for this work.
    - Some of that money Fyber use to pay sites that put up links to the surveys like Bluebyte does. I think they may get that for free and pay bluebyte per completed survey.
    - When you complete a survey Fyber gets paid for that from the company that ordered the survey. Fyber do not send any info to Bluebyte most of the time that you completed the survey and thus have not pay for the data they got but still get paid from the company who ordered it.
    - Since bluebyte gets no info from Fyber that you completed the survey BB gets no money from Fyber and also you get no gems. If they send the info to Bluebyte you get the gems.

Fyber runs away with the money and Bluebyte and the player gets scammed at the same time.

Bluebyte knows this but it is easy way for them to get some extra money for almost no work but they also gets scammed for half of it, or even more, that they should have got.

Reporting problems that you did not get gems works in some cases and you get it afterward but most of the time you end up in a loop where they ask for more screenshots. It is hard to do screenshots in the past that they ask for afterwards.
