    Barracks' buff time

    had Recruitment Guide on:



    then put myers on top and training time increased, lol:



    any logical explanation for that?

    I haven't seen this problem but another
    - a MOD told me to post in this thread.

    There is a general problem with calculating production time in barracks when zone buff 'Recruitment Guide' is applied.
    The effect is calculated on entire queue instead of being restricted to the actual duration of buff.
    (All durations are rounded to whole hours)


    Without buff on Barracks:
    Before zone buff got applied (24h):




    With Recruitment Guide applied (8h):


    Time is wrongly calculated as 1/3 of original queue time [24h/3 = 8h)
    Buff effect is +200% for 6h which equals 12h of original production time.
    Remaining queue should have been calculated as 24h-12h = 12h - which is how the buff actually works.


    With buff on Elite Barracks:

    Original EB queue (63h):


    With 'Drill Sergeant Skunk' applied (39h):


    Buff effect correctly calculated and queue ending at 39h (+200% for 12h subtracting 24h from original value)

    With zone buff applied afterwards:


    Remaining time should have ended at 27h; original value subtracted effect of Skunk AND zone buff effects. (63h-24h-12h)

    How you end at 15h is currently a mystery to me

    Barrack buffs and true timings

    it seems there is a new issue with the barrack times. If for instance a myers or a skunk is placed, and then also a recruitment zone on top, the training time is being shown as if those buffs were permanent (ie say 7 hours to complete all orders). However, in reality once the relevant buffs expire the training time then reverts back to it's original time (ie say 1 day 1 hour to complete all orders).

    There should be more clarity on how each buff affects the timings

    The production times for Barracks and Elite barracks are now displayed correctly with an active "Recruitment Guide".
    the following is my "test" case:

    I started training for 1650 Recruits , 2000 bowmen, the queue was almost 1 day and 12 hours, I applied the recruitment guide, (premium friend applied it so the buff must last 6 hours and 35 minutes) , the timer to finish queue down to 22 hours and a few minutes, once I applied Mr. Myers buff to my barracks, the timers goes up again to 1 day and 1 hour.

    So something not correct still happens.

    Overall I've given up trusting the build times in the barracks. I will have x days and y hours, then a buff expires, I immediately replace it with the same buff, and then I will have a totally different time. It's almost like new troops added while a buff is running don't show the benefits of the buff until a new buff is placed.
    Sorry, but I've slept since then...
