Could we please stop asking for a one off skill reset, it's a self defeating argument in a evolving game. If you have followed the evolution of the game over several years you will see at least once a year we get something which players turn into a reason for a skill reset. If they were to grant us a reset in the near future it would only be a matter of time before something else new comes along which players will see as a reason for a reset. In fact at this time you don't even need a crystal ball to see what the next reason will be.

Yes I would be happy to have a reset, I just think asking for a one-off one is something time will turn into a lie.

    And so what ??
On the other game I play we do get a skill reset when some big change in game make the way we used our skills obsolete. So why not here?
The argument that we did not get i before is not valid in my world. Would rather say that then it is about time. And no matter what you feel about it, we can think it is a good idea.

I can see one problem though and that is the achievements, so maybe a change skill event for all is not the solution. If we had a re-skill event for all - then everyone could just put books to get ach, them remove them again.
Maybe it could be the prize for solving all achievements with relation to specialists.
If for some reason support feels the need to edit what I wrote, please delete entire post instead, dont put words into my mouth that I never said.

If you read carefully what I posted at no point did I say I was against a skill reset. In fact if you look carefully I am for it. What I see as pointless is requests for a one off reset.

A skill reset should be available any time there is a major change in the world mechanics. And while the test server was available for people to 'play' with the skill tree, not everyone used it for whatever reason. Maybe it was an issue of time. Maybe it was an issue of understanding. Whatever the reason, not everyone walked into this change knowing how these skills affect their generals and ultimately how it will affect game play.

I know I spent my first 3 points making one of my generals walk faster before realizing that it would screw up every block do when he is involved. Now, until such time as my blocking (tavern) generals get the same treatment, I can't use that one general in a blocking maneuver. If he were my only special general, it would radically affect game play. Lucky for me that he isn't.

Just a thought, BB. But I think an entirely fair one. A couple weeks of free skill resets to give people the time to really understand the system would be nice.

I dont think the increased speed affects the blocks as it is only the speed of the general when moving garrison, not in attacks.

Jog does not work on attacks so has zero impact on blocks, the skill only applies when moving your general from one location to another or after the fight when the general returns back to his garrison. There is no need to worry about using that general in blocks.

Only a small number of players will be able to assess the effects of the skills in a few weeks, for the majority it will take some months.

    Hopefully never going to happen.

Some players have (their bad choice) chosen to skill Tavern Geologists/Explorers...

Why should BB initiate an event helping those out?
    - new general skill tree - pay the gems or live with the choices you have done in the past

yeah I paid gems after the 10 tome quest as I skilled all my tavern explorers and they're not much good.
    Have fun!
