Does anyone know if more than one side quest can be played at the same time. I have lost compass and
anonymous threat...both require completing an Arabian knights adventure. Can I open both and get credit for
both by doing a single adventure?

I have not tried it on live server, but multiple active excelsior quests works on testserver.

Yes, you can have multiple quests open, as long as it are different ones. So you should able to do both mentioned at the same time.

How to solve ?
Step01 + use the internet browser enter = no results whatever even on "(0)" , weird
Step02 + find in the basis collected adventure guide (ex Killste & all) some low level adventures, where at least 1 camp results on a (zero result)
examples + bounty hunter, witch of the swamp, the nords, ...... ( there must be more possibilities)
step 02-bis + think of scenario without troop units - NOTE though not tested yet - could give an accepted result
Step03 + ask a guild member for a loot-seat in 1 of the adventures where it is possible to even in last run to clear a camp without zero losses
Morse suggestions would be welcome to help out other playing settlers who only have GEN200 with at least up to XB or ES !!!!

Battle without losses is easy to do in Dark Priest. The camp above the lake with 10 Thug and 15 Stone Thrower can be killed with 200C without losses.
Or the archer towers in Stealing from the Rich. Any Gen with 100C takes them out without losses.

Scenarios should not work for this as you don't send gens. Any reports of them working therefore must be down to a bug.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
Also the first camp on The Lost Skull is easy if you have an MMA
