Why not start this sort of thing at 10:00 GMT so the devs are in work when it doesn't start as expected? Why go for late at night?

Good question! The reason for the given start time is due to the fact this event is releasing simultaneously worldwide. For most of Europe it means players can get stuck into it as soon as they wake up, while elsewhere like the US it means players can enjoy it in the afternoon.

Could anyone tell me what happens if someone was to move up a reward tier half way through the event? Which selection of rewards would that player receive?

The level you are when the event begins determines your reward tier. If you exit that tier by gaining additional levels, you will still earn the the rewards from the tier you were allocated at the start of the event.

Odd logic BB_Saqui. First, this doesn't really answer the question. If the event is worldwide, then the start time means it will always be a good or bad time for someone, somewhere. So you might as well make it a time that means your technical staff are available in case of problems. Second, you state the start time as if it is an advantage for EU players. Personally, I'd suggest it means they can't take advantage of the first 7-8 hours of the quest, when they might want to be making something to meet a quest requirement (like Irma baskets last time).

Since the start time will always be good or bad depending on where you live, then you can effectively discount that as a factor. I live in Sydney, but would rather the event started at 9am GMT (8pm local time) than today's outcome, where I was logging in every 2-3 hours from 11am local time to see if there was any update on status, or if the event had started.

Given BB's record on problems when starting events, you'd think someone would be monitoring it, which in turn makes it logical to start it when developers are on hand to fix problems!

The time selected was the best compromise for a worldwide release.

Our past events have ran very well, and have improved over the past few years. We will of course take into account the feedback from this delay, and make an effort to avoid this sort of situation for future events.

I'm level 60, but could I trade the Improved Watermill for the Improved Storehouse or Recycling Manufacturer please?
