Agreed, the celebrations or "special" days should be more common and neutral. Queen does not mean anything to non UK people. I'm not sure if St George is a good idea either in today's Europe since it's a religious day.Originally Posted by SmurfAsH

Find me a day which a) is not a religious day, b) not the birthday of somebody infamous, c) not the anniversary of some horrific event.

Hmm, considering what happened on 23rd June last year, I doubt it.
Anyway, the Commonwealth covers over 70% of the World so it make sense in a way.
I didn't choose these, BB Ravel did after it was discovered that other language versions were receiving gifts for certain dates and we were getting absolutely nothing on here. To ensure fairness each language version was supposed to have 3 "special" dates (although 1 I play still seems to have 4).
personally I'd have picked different dates but at least the 3 we do have are spread quite evenly over the year, a lot of the more obvious choices do seem to fall in a very narrow window between 6th June and 15th September.
