It is a bit strange, that in normal-mode my explorers finds platinum ore "always", but now, when we are in crisis, they bring home everything else than platinum ore. and as a last quest.... *thumbs down*....

I think I'm not going to be able to finish this crisis quest and not going to spend anymore gems. (Had to use them on those ridiculous make "million" crossbowman quests, because i do not have any room for that big of an army. And not going to fill my island with houses). Otherways this was nice "event" before halloween.

The quest has been great. Different challenges. The platinum ore is the last thing I'm waiting on and yes- it is frustrating, because I was way ahead of Diwata (not that there is any competition in our house) and I had 4 searches done before she started. I've done 10 now, she did 2, and she's finished. I only got one drop out of the 20. That's annoying.

I would say it was a bad idea if it wasn't for the fact that many gems were given as part of completing the stages (and more yet to come) so spending some gems to speed up the searches is fair enough - they were bonuses anyway. It's sure keeping me aware of when the explorers are going to be back to make sure I squeeze in every search possible.

All in all a big thumbs up for this surprise.

The 13th search did it, found enough to make the 50 platinum ore. Of course I spent 150 gems making all the savage scouts fast so they would finish too just in case since there was no way of knowing. I think I came out a little ahead on gems overall so I still think it was a good event.

Fingers crossed as i am out of gems
Quick update - 17 Prolonged searches done without platinum ore. But still have 8 more to go as i have upgraded the skill speeds of the ones that have just come back.
    Fingers crossed.
Loved this event, though i will be a bit miffed if i fail to complete the crisis event due to the drop rate and the fact i used all my gems on getting Nusala this week leaving no gems to complete the last task, as i assumed 4 days was enough to get my explorers to bring back 50 platinum ore from prolonged searches.

Mmm... I think there may be an opening for a Settlers Couple Counselor soon (if not already). Never any competition in our house either (but for the record, my explorers were more efficient than Kiwi_sparky's ).

BB, thank you. Our household enjoyed the Crisis (is it okay to enjoy a crisis?) and the rewards were unexpected and generous.

On the whole, this was a good quest event - most of the individual quests were challenging enough to be interesting, but not impossible. However, it was totally ruined by making the final quest so random, dependent on explorers finding a particular resource. Mine was to find 50 granite - at the end, they had found just 30, so I had to pay gems to complete the quest chain just for the lack of 20 granite. It would be interesting to know the ratio of players who found the required resource against those who did not.

PS I would have made the same comment re the final quest even if my explorers had been successful.

A great event, but a poorly thought out last quest. ASs a guild we have worked hard and helped everyone get to the final stage, and no gaming skills required, or extra time at the screen, relies on the luck of the draw, so sad this morning seeing people fail as their explorers did not bring back required resources and not enough hours left to send again. Such a shame BB, was the best quest in all my time of playing, but it was a sad and disappointing end for too many

Why was the successful completion of the quest based on the random nature of a specialist search??
Many players have not been able to complete the quests despite working hard!
The last task of stage 4 was very poorly thought out BB and you need to look at this again for those who could not complete.
