gens get XP for what troops they kill not the camp. So using mary on suicide attacks will get u more XP. she is great to use as 1st wave instead of a 200 gen as she will kil more than a tavern gen and double ur XP. But she is also pretty good with 1 troop suicide waves as long as there is no 1st strike units in the camp. but she cant take on the stronger troops in 1 troop suicide waves like the sword masters or sword weilders. So fine for most addy but not much good on the southern isle or alli baba. Weak attack so she needs a lot of troops to kill the stronger camps. its the xp she gets that makes her worth using. even better if skilled up the same as ur big hitters.

Not a good idea to use for blocks though as her attack is better than a tavern gen so might end the attack too soon unless u adjust the troops u send with her.
She will most likely be added to the guides once the guide writers have worked out the best way to use her.

It's not the fact that she has slightly better stats which is the problem, it's the fact that she is a fast general that's the problem so her rounds only last half the time of a tavern. For blocking Mary would be a even worse choice than a BHG/Log/Grim.

I'm getting good results with Mary with all cavalry or all mounted marksmen(typically MMA in FTs or MGs in Ali) - either no losses or minimal. She is skilled: 3 x juggernaut, 1st aid, jog, fast learner, unstoppable, frenzy - 2 overrun - 1 star coins. Lots of XP & coins.

Its not really a guide , its more like showing whats possible. So for every camp with mary on YWC you have the possibility of getting 483k exp but the losses are equally massive ! So now its a matter of finding a balance between maximum exp/losses and speed of completion.

Eggxactly! With my guide I get 193k XP (before prem) for 220MS & 420R do it in about 45 mins from landing.

You can just sim with a BHG/Grim, Mary has slightly better stats, but the difference is negligible.

The only thing that differs her from BHG is that she gives 100% extra xp from what you kill, so just use this http://settlersonlinemaps.com/fastsim.php?LangCode=2 and sim with a BHG and ofc if you've skilled her add the skills you skilled her with, I have done so and it works well.

Mary has 100 hp vs 1 for BHG, Mary does 125/250 (80%) damage vs BHG 120/120. Will probably not make a difference in battle, but not the same.

HP doesnt make a difference because the general is not attacked until all the players units die.

Not sure if she has splash damage as a baseline, but if she doesnt the extra damage does not give any advantage over any 120/120 general 99% of the time.

No splash dmg from the start , but maxing that skill on her seems to make a difference, not sure.
