Couple of pictures of the lunar eclipse using a DSLR and a telescope as the lens. Collection is culled from 560 to a couple of the better ones for yall
As for the fancy description it was given, the super blue blood moon simply meant the moon was at its closest pass to earth (it has an oval shaped orbit), second full moon in a month is known as a blue moon, which is far more common than the phrase suggests, and blood moon simply means the whole moon went red rather than just a fraction of it (total lunar eclipse rather than partial lunar eclipse). The moon gets its "red" due to the light refracting off the Earth, with the eclipse being due to the Earth being directly between the sun and the moon.
