They are supposed to be a surprise and these mini events, crisis, etc. are nearly never announced on purpose. Players could else prepare too much ie. with resources and military units. There however are always few unlucky players doing a 7 day upgrade or not being around.

The Spanish Inquisition cannot surprise anyone anymore. It's become too memefied.

No buccaneer roundup on list? Would have tied in nicely with the coop changes.
LOVE this event .. and a nice surprise.
Would love there to have been a way to add the often requested pirate flag to event shop though .. or even as a quest reward for completing pirate adventures
Also maybe a new buff as a reward/event shop item... or made using barrels in mayor house during event only .. grog .... +400% recruitment time to barracks/elite barracks - duration 4 hrs

Also good news I hear there are plans to bring this event back in future ... I wonder .... is BB aware ... there really is an .... International Talk like a pirate day?? September 19th every year
