I would like to nominate player rogersgirl, she is very helpful, always kind, and forthcoming with advice for new players - she is the mum of the Trojan Warriors guild. Like any good mum she does not loose her patience with the kids (us newbies) and keeps us on the straight and narrow

I would like to nominate Dr. Lindsey Chisholm, Cancer Surgeon, who walked 8 miles in snow when many vehicles were unable to proceed, in order that her patient could receive the operation he was scheduled to receive.

Among many other possible links http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-43343056

The patient's name is Mr Iain McAndrew, a colon cancer patient who because of the dedication of this surgeon was able to receive his operation.

    Dear Settlers,

Today’s a day to celebrate the achievements, contributions and rights of women. Your Mayor has planned an award ceremony to recognise several iconic women originating from your home island. However, something has gone wrong: they’ve lost the list of nominees while they were flustering around dealing with the ever-increasing Nord threat! Not wanting to cancel the event, the Mayor needs your help in recounting the list of nominees from your most trusted opinion.

We’re asking you to nominate a female player or character of “The Settlers Online”; explain to us why they deserve to be nominated for recognition. Writing not your style? We’ll also accept artwork that commemorates your nominee as a suitable entry!

Only one contribution per player. Entries will be closed on Monday, 12th of March, at 23:55 GMT. Rude contributions will not be tolerated and will be subject to immediate moderation.

The Mayor is willing to double today's offering: an additional 2x Manuscript & 1x Tome, for the most original nominations.

    Happy Women's Day!
sapphire145 is amazing and well deserve to be nominated to best female as she is always helpful and kind and generous looking after the guild and the lover levels

    I want to nominate: Kit_
Just for being such an awesome Guild leader and font of knowledge on the Forums.
somehow she always picks up question, or refers to where to find the answers.

If we could make a general out of her, she would throw books at our enemies and smite them with knowledge...
there'd be a whip of truth and a cudgel of righteousness. (and a lot of nasty secret weapons)

There are many special players who are worthy of this prize. They include: (all players are on sandycove)
Sky Blue - The_Lady_Red - for being a true Aussie and helping the URSUS guild
Orange - Jane_Starz - for being our resident LARP specialist, very friendly and promoting new members from the Netherlands
Purple - Lost4sole - for dressing up for the event, even though it was his wrong size
Red - General Mary - for always bringing the Christmas spirit to adventure found by...
Royal Blue - Intrepid Explorers - for bringing in special buffs for General Mary to take on the adventures that they find
Yellow - TheJollyOne - keeps the chat buzzing (and loves bees)
Green - Courageous Explorers - for their infinite searching for trees and resources to help our island.

Red, blue and yellow flower beds and roses should always be theirs, with the cabbage patches and pumpkin patches too!
