    Tavern Specialists

So as everyone knows, the Tavern offers a few specialists for different tasks:

    Generals
    Explorers
    Geologists
    Marshals

I think some of these specialists could do with a bit of an upgrade considering how many other specialists are available now. The way I see it:

Generals - Their slow attack speed is very useful for blocking so this does not need touching, their travel time of 30 minutes tends to hold everything up when all the other generals only take 15 minutes. This speed also blocks a lot of newer players from buying lootspots as people are too impatient to wait 30 minutes for a slow general to arrive. I guess you can invest books into the slow generals to make them a bit faster, but if you do the same for your other generals then you still end up with a large time gap between slow and normal generals arriving at an adventure.

I suggest the slow generals be upgraded so they take the same time as all the other generals to arrive at adventures.

Explorers - These could do with being the same as Savage Scouts, why do new players have to wait twice as long for their explorers to finish? They are already limited to only 3 so it wouldn't be a massive buff.

Geologists - Same as explorers, these could do with being the same as Jolly Geologists, as a higher level player I find I actually avoid using these, i'm sure I am not the only one who wouldn't mind an option to just delete them. At the moment they are just too far behind all the new Geologists.

Marshals - These fit their purpose, I don't really see the need for a change.

Savage scout: 995 gems, tavern explorer 3 for 2600 gold.
Jolly: 300 gems, geologist: 3 for 1000 gold
Generals: Just don't give the others a speed upgrade, or wait the extra 8 minutes.

I just stopped using the tavern geo's and explorers. I got enough of the fast ones during events.

The tavern specialists are a beginners set of specialists, if you have others which are faster then feel free not to use the slow ones.

The reasoning behind both of those is the same : main selling point of the premium specialists is that they do things twice as fast as the normal ones. Its unrealistic assuming this would suddenly change.

    minus one for OP suggestion.

Leave Tavern specialists as they are. They work just fine. They are a nice part of balancing, planning and progressing through the game, and even at high level I still use them for different purposes.

Yes, I must agree with Norton_C.
Budgy gave us detailed information to us with gem version specialists.

But Kotugo feels something. I feel something else, the tavern building would be more functionality there. Maybe browse all specialists and give batch commands selected units.

I still use my regular specialists and would prefer them to stay as they are. Slow gems are good for blocking as they are slow to attack, regular geologists are good for granite searches as the extra length of time to search spaces their findings put nicely later into the night and regular explorers are still ok for finding loot etc.. there is always one that I never send out so that he is always on standby for expedition searches when I want to do pvp.

I dont want the reg gens to change. I would like for the number of reg gens to be increased.
I would however like that the tavern came to some use. It would be great if the gens could book a room there and not take space up on the map. .
It would be great if you could dismiss them again if you dont need them. Like the marshals.
If for some reason support feels the need to edit what I wrote, please delete entire post instead, dont put words into my mouth that I never said.

I can understand a lot of the higher level players not caring about improving old specialists since they already have the units they need. When this game was released, these specialists were the main ones you used and the faster variants were a rarity you might had one of.

Now there are so many better specialists available, the old specialists feel like a punishment for newer players, a bit like those free to play games where progress is severely hindered unless you spend real money. This is a bit of a shame since it was not always the case, it has just become worse as the game has progressed.

The reasoning behind both of those is the same : main selling point of the premium specialists is that they do things twice as fast as the normal ones. Its unrealistic assuming this would suddenly change.
I disagree with this, the main selling point is it allows you to have more than the 3 available from the tavern.
