You were very luck my friend :-) Bug was introduced last maint and due for fix 22nd Aug (this year), couple of threads on the different flavours of bugs in the bug forum.

Mountain labyrinth is a very cavalry intensive venture, atleast if you want to reduce elite losses. Perhaps cav losses are a bit high, but they also buy time for your elite barracks to catch up.
