    The achievements were fun at launch but over years they deteriorated a lot.

    A with new content some new are added but it's just a fraction of their real potential:
    * Crisis quests - no achievements
    * Tailor - no achievements
    * Ali Baba - only one achievement for completing all the adventures
    * Evil queen - no achievements
    * Excelsior - no achievements
    * Co-op no achievements (coop loot was re-balanced few weeks ago, a nice occasion?)
    * Most of old adventures - fairly simple with the new generals (although still miss a few)
    * Books - invest 3 books in cleave? Rly?
    * Collectibles - appear only during the events
    * Expeditions - mostly ok. but few were calculated for much longer then lifetime of 'pvp'. Defending 100 Colonies is a sheer random (you can only hope, that the attacker goes afk, or has internet down).
    * Scenarios - Nice idea, but since rewards from scenarios are questionable, they are not played too often (separate slots, please)
    * Events - 20% of achievs come from Easter. Some extra resources are nice, though.
    * Levels 51+ - Total 8 achievements for new levels, nice, when compared to others
    * achievement points - does not seem to be related to difficulty

    I like the achievement points, as someone said before, when it gets boring you can concentrate on them..

    For events, they are special and helpful to gain event resource - esp for lower level saving for a specialist or special building.

    I enjoy the achievements, though some are just there for the sake of it. For example build 6 fisheries. With new content etc, I personally have 2 fisheries down and the rest of my fish comes from fish farms. There are many similar achievements which with Imp buildings become redundant. Many of the skill bonuses for generals, explorers and geologists are unrealistic and most people would not want to skill their people in the exact way that is required. I did a few of these and then re skilled them afterwards, though that defeats the object.
    I always like to aim for 100% completion on the events. That gives a true sense of achievement and normally rewards event items for completion, so that is important to me.
    I have completed all the gem and resource reward achievements with the exception of PVP, but I don't see the point of achievements as described above, being done for no reason or reward for going against your normal play style.
    Overall the achievements are good and worth keeping, though it may be time to update them.

    I really like achievements, too. However, as for event ones, I'd personally prefer if they didn't go up to 100% after every event. I'd like to be able to see later what the achievements were and what I missed.

    I really disliked that I have to spend gems to complete all the event achievements (Easter event asked for an adventure that could only be obtained by spending gems). This creates the feeling I *have* to spend real-world money to be able to play the game well. The Settlers Online is a place where I can forget about my real life problems, not be confronted by them.

    The event ones are different as on a few of the events the achievement score is tied to upgrading a unique building so they are worth doing.

    I like them .. and its good that some achievements are ... challenging ....

    BUT some are just too much of a grind like ones for pvp already mentioned and the scenario ones.

    Event achievements .. I like ... High five!
