Yes, it's probably best for us to think of the fully upgraded market as capable of creating up to 30 zombie (x4) buffs in one go, for cheap. When stacked with guides and other zone buffs (training ground, meadhall, etc), I've gotten up to 8x production on a platinum swordsmith- at least for a limited duration.

Lagoons are tranquil. They are made of water. People are made of water, too.
But people are not lagoons, even if you sometimes find people in lagoons.

Yeah you see i am too a old Beta tester from the beginning but maybe i am very old and get some things forgottten. So the feedback is about they could give more info about the building or put more info or a hyperlink how area buff worked. I never usedd them or choose that buildig because i found then not a good worthy value for bugss of money or presents. It is about communication and i hope they will tried in the future to do better. Thats my feedback about. I think they prefer to not give you all the information so you make maybe a mistake and then you will maybe buy gems to get the things repaired your mistake? It is just an opinion or a feedback as anybody else too can have.

I think you all are almost end lv ? I did not see my self have unlocked Zombie buffs , are the better then the hotdogss i like? . You all have some point but my point they do not give you all the information which are possible or link you to a page with extra information of some game mechanics works. So if they wanted they could do a better job with information but they i thik prefer to do not. So they still have more possiblities to get more gems sold. I other games the EU is investing the use of lootboxes. Because they use the gambling game mechanics so they are problably sticked of rules under Health care protection and must be more complied to anti cambling laws. Yes you right it is my own choice to play the game, like to go to the Casino too, but if they make thing to get you addected, there is a governement they make laws to get people healty and tried to get people not addicted to games or gambling. Corporates must follow the law and not go in the grey area to tried to jumping out of the loop of law. Games must have ethics too and not think only of making money. Yeah in the early beginning i bought to gems to support the designgers and server maintenance.

If you look at the steam rating of this game you do see i am not the only one with a sort of same mixed opinoion about the Gems and game mechanics.

Free stuff was good, but rest of it a waste of time.

I'm using it now explicitly for artefact searches and he indeed brings back 4 buffs. I'm still wondering though if it was the best decision to make. A Lucky explorer on artefact search will return with 2 buffs every 6 hours or so. The Candid explorer needs 18 hours for a single run. If I do the maths properly then I'll eventually have 6 buffs with a lucky explorer and just 4 with the candid one but then I have to login the very least three times a day.
Remember, remember the 25/11? You should have seen what happened on 17/03, 14/04 and 21/04 ...
29/09 seems to be a major problem...

I would like to see present drops from some adventures. Don't need to be anything big or fancy like during Halloween or Easter, just a little SOMETHING for those who wants (yes, I am aware of those two Christmas adventures you can get for gems drops presents but you get my point).

Otherwise, as always, a great event. The Christmas Market is a killer building!

Now that we can buy Woodcutters there isn't really anything useful aside from artefact search for Explorers, outside events of course.

Firstly the lootboxes you're talking about are generally in games one already has to pay 30 to 60 dollars for, and secondly all the "cool stuff" is either completely hidden behind the lootbox system, or it's easier to obtain the "cooler stuff" despite being behind a gambling mechanic. That's the crux of that system and which makes it so predatory. In this game, apart from it being free-to-play, all the stuff can be bought directly with gems.

As for Steam, the community there, when browsing the store is expecting to see a proper game equal to the familiar The Settlers titles and not a glorified browser game in a Chromium container. When you can pick up games like World of Warships, Planetside 2 or War Thunder from the Steam platform, one is not particularly expecting or wanting to see a simple browser game that is testing people's patience at points. Not as bad as a Facebook game, with pushed "social interaction" and ridiculous cooldown timers, but still.

    As for Xmas event feedback:

The Market(s) is/are a nice addition, but a bit costly for what they do. One can only chain-buff the level 4 buff, with a second market to bring down the cooldown timer, which makes a second market just an appendix market to shorten the cooldown, apart from the fact you have to upgrade it separately, not to get an extra AOE buff building. It'd rather have seen that the buffs not only increase in size and power, but also in duration, so that with a level 4 one could buff for 24 hours, and so can alternate with the second market to buff another area. This way a second market is not just some appendix to stow somewhere in a corner, but also useful. And optional extra markets with other xmas events (if this game still runs past 2020) can not only bring down the cooldown further, but also enable more areas to be buffed.

The Gift tree for what it does is a little pricey I'd say since the loot table, even when at higher level you get access to the more useful things, is so large that getting anything really worthwhile your chances are probably barely more than 1 ‰.

I've invested already quite a bit in Explorers a long time ago and so I had little trouble obtaining all the things I wanted, but for mid-to-low level free-to-play players it may be a bit of a struggle to get much, since the "cooler stuff" was so pricey.

This was a much harder event than I'm used to from a Christmas event. I had to count every present I got (and buy a whole lot more) so I sadly had no resources to spare for "frivolities" such as the Christmas skins. (I haven't seen any of those skins on other players' islands either.) It would be nice if next year, skins and other graphic things were not just an item in the market. Would be nice if we could get one or two of them from completing quests or as loot from the christmas adventures or an item in the calendar. Otherwise, I liked this event. Didn't manage to get everything I wanted, but that made it more interesting than last year's. And I'm still wishing for a snow buff that looks good, but I guess that'll never be.
