Some time ago there was a lot of complaining that no new stuff is coming to the game. Now there is..
I welcome all the new stuff. I will not use some (most?) of it but there will be plenty who do. Hint: you dont have to use it either if you dont want to.

As I mostly play only events and such this was a great opportunity to play more. Despite the bugs I enjoyed the event very much. Bugs will surely be fixed by next year. The event will obviously be back then and Im looking forward to it.

From the people who dont like the event and dont want it to run again I ask:
What did force you to take part? Perfectly fine to just ignore it.
Did you hate that you could have double loot/xp/event currency (that you could sell at great prices to get the non event items)?
Is getting more for the same effort a bad thing?
Is more active players a bad thing?
Was fighting windmills from Aug 2012 to Oct 2019.

I agree with the last player. I enjoy TSO. If I didn't, I wouldn't play it. Yes, there are occasional bugs but it is a complex game & I mostly I find a way round the problems until BB sorts them. A lot I never experience at all (the famous lag) - I don't know why. What suits one player doesn't suit another. There is nothing wrong with that. The Valentine's Day Event wasn't my favourite as I'm not a great fan of co-ops & almost never start one myself. The relatively short timescale felt a bit pressurised. Also some of the play was new which meant there was a learning curve - not a bad thing if we are not to get stale. The extra time & goodies we got from BB as an apology made up for a lot.
We should remember occasionally that the game is free and if BB introduce things to buy for gems; i.e. hard currency - well they have to make an income somehow.

No room on island to place all buildings. Too much focus on pay to win.

You feel like a fool, when you have spent a lot of time collecting flowers to buy an expensive observatory and 2 recipe. When it subsequently turns out not to work

I could write reams, but most of it has already been said. Overall, I would have preferred not to have had the event at all. If there had to be one, it should have been less intense, with perhaps only the specialists as rewards in the shop.

With so many events, it is nigh impossible to find a suitable slot in which to upgrade key buildings to L5 or L6.

I actually like the fact that the new specialists aren't faster than the normal ones - It means that I can set them off and log out earlier than I would be able to do with the fast ones.

I think that BB forgets that some of us have to go to work or enjoy interacting with our families and can't spend endless hours playing the game.

I've pretty much stopped playing. Will never spend another $ on diamonds (or anything that BB ever produces). Nice job.

Can we have an exact overview of the situation from BB ?

What is the list of known new bugs ? (observatory, quick iron mine, etc.)
And what is the status of each one : Will you soon fix it ? or not fix it at all ? when ?

    Thank you !

Instead of developing all the silly new bug-ridden gimmicks that have been released lately, they could be focusing on new adventures (the heart and soul of TSO game progression imho). The weather station reminds me an awful lot of the mad scientist, where it could have been great but it wasn't at all. The observatory is a great idea, but it is yet another building requiring multiple copies to reduce cool-down or speed production, and nobody likes that mechanic. The love garden, in addition to the aforementioned cool-down mechanic, has the same Christmas market buff zone mechanic that was not very well received either. All the new geos for the past year or so could just as easily have been implemented by enhancing the skill tree, which contains a lot of rather useless skills to begin with.

The game in general just feels so cluttered and sloppy these days. I really wish BB would consider a TSOv2 sequel, to learn from their mistakes, reset the whole thing on a newer more stable platform, and prevent the hoarding that makes the game laughably easy beyond level 60. Sure MCC is hard and weekly challenges can strain even a robust economy, but they are optional and the rewards don't compel people to do them very often. But I digress... a lot... sorry.

I see these type of responses come up occasionally from some players. The problem with that whole argument is that this game is truly a hobby for many people. They like playing and investing lots of their time, and sometimes money, in it. When something goes wrong they have a right to be upset about it. The players want to participate in the event, and they want it to run properly. To say that they shouldn't care and should just ignore the event and "stay home" if they don't like it is a total cop-out answer, and it smacks of arrogance in my opinion.

Agreed, I have thought about spending $ a couple times in the past, but some BB-made disaster always happens that makes me change my mind. I am rather stingy with my money, and I will not buy something that doesn't work properly no matter how shiny and new they make it look. It becomes a question of whether I should "invest" money in the hope that it will improve the quality of their product in the future. Also, for the love of God, fix the shop loading errors. I cringe every time I see someone complaining in chat that they can't spend money when they want to. Revenue is the lifeline of any business!

A new Change Log has been added with information on current bugfixing efforts:

    https://forum.thesettlersonline.com/...e-Log-19-03-19

A complete list of all bugs is not available publicly.

I like some new stuff - what I don't like is the clutter - the too many cooks and the total disrespect for the original idea with the game. Peoples islands are developing into a total clutter of buildings with a long cool down time that no one remember to use. The focus on figuring out how to manage and maintain a sound economy is lost in the clutter. And all the new stuff are bugged to some extent. Some has not documented benefit at all.
The new content that gives real activity is very limited. It seems they know that many players are so bored, but still like to log on to chat a bit, that they brought on quest that just makes us pay with the troops instead of actually being active and do adventures.

I liked this event, it was not because of the rewards. The only nice thing - (not talking about the colour) was the explorer. I liked the activity it brought - and for me it did not matter much that what I got out of it was more or less useless. It was nice to swap cards and to do co-ops for a change.

What I could wish for in the future is events that makes people talk again and brings about activity. Not more buildings with long cool-down times or buff zones.

I am sure if people have a good time,- more will spent money on the game. I am not using real money on bugged buildings I really don't need. But I might start using money on premium again, if I find, that buggs are fixed, that BB start listening again, and start responding again to all the feedback - not just on the German Forum and on Face-book but also here on forum
If for some reason support feels the need to edit what I wrote, please delete entire post instead, dont put words into my mouth that I never said.
