Never mind. Maybe they could combine some of the valentines buildings with the Easter event and make one big combined event!

However it demonstrates a pattern of repeated mistakes which demonstrates something systemically wrong.

not disputing that at all - but still preferable to fix before activation rather than afterwards

Sorry, cannot deliver your new car, we have some issues to resolve...Oh and cannot deliver your online shopping coz the bananas aren't yellow...Hmmm, cannot get that work done on the house because the builder needs checking...repeat etc. Point it they have a test server to test stuff on and even when it is clear there are issues they keep going until like now the train hits the buffers. Just have to wonder why on Earth they were even trying to add a new event to servers that are already struggling with the load. Though did have to laugh and laugh that woohoo a gem sale is launched with petals etc on the day the event should have launched and didn't. Seems left and right hands didn't communicate.

I would rather they didnt commit to delivering something that was not finished.

The reason any half decent software company eploys multiple stages of testing is to deliver a product that is working, not just deliver anything.

to many probs since the change log was done. takes 10 mins to place buildings and chat losses connection while doing it.
After the hot fix it was ok for a few hrs now its back and even worse than before.

Cleared cache and cookies and that made it even worse.
Maybe take the change log off complety and see if that fixes the probs we now have.

heres a thought why not get rid of flash player and see if that solves the probs. A few other games im playing r in the process of switching to HTML5 now. Most got rid of the bugs while doing that.
Graphics r nowwhere near as good on HTML5 but no more lag. far less bugs.
Most of the probs r with flash unable to cope with the amount of ppl using it. Its part of the reason why they r getting rid of it.

Dear BB, think it's time to knock this one on the head for the time being, we are fast approaching the Easter Event which has always been one of the major TSO events and is tried and tested (mostly).
This Valentine's event seems to be thought up at the last minute and now seems to be following a Teresa May recipe (for disaster). Please don't wreck a popular event by trying to shoehorn this thing in, we've already missed the actual date of Valentines anyway so it wouldn't hurt any more should it appear during the summer months seeing as there's no World Cup/Olympics this year.
Oh, and completely agree with cliff60's last paragraph, most of our problems are because of Flash, and this was known back in 2010, just been experiencing the difference on another online game where HTML5 has supplanted Flash and the difference is incredible.
Despite BB_Alex's rant a few months ago, I implore BB not to write off the possibility of recoding the game, the content has been updated a lot in recent years but we still have this Flash albatross around our necks, and surely anybody can see that the broken gem shop has gone on far too long now, you can hold all the Happy Hours you like but if we can't purchase gems then this hurts our game tremendously and history has shown bad decisions being made based on assumptions thatthe players aren't as keen as they actually are, just remember the Settlers 2/ Focus Multimedia fiasco to see how wrong thinking things can get.
    We love our new CM.

    Newfoundland: 20th November 2011 to 25th November 2014. RIP
It was good while it lasted.

Please just Cancel this event , sort out the lag and then make sure the Eastr event works correctly.
The lag is so irritating and annoying.

Dunno why but when i played the event on test server i didnt notice the issues on live server now. There were issues with the event content though.
Was fighting windmills from Aug 2012 to Oct 2019.
