Good event, nice to get books in adventure loot.

Frustrating for lower levels to find they have to 'find x amount of granite' on Part 4 of Section 4 which means they cannot look for books until they manage this and can end up not finishing the chain unless they gem the quest. Getting the stuff on treasure search is totally random and to give that perspective on my Newfoundland account I managed it on the first search run whilst on Sandycove it took me almost 2 days. On my Northisle account all I had to do was 'gather x amount of saltpetre and that was done in seconds by a return trade.

More like this would be entertaining but please don't end up doing what so many games have done and end up with non-stop events.

The sub quests depend to much on 1 sub quest. For example in Stage 1:
After finishing "The Stowaway" you can start "Hidden Treasure"
After finishing "Hidden Treasure" you can start "Follow The Leads"
But after finishing "Diplomacy First", you cannot start anything after. So basically you always wait for some production to finish before going to the next production.
It would be better to start some production sub quest after "Diplomacy First" also.
I am afraid this chaining of sub quests is present in all stages. Making it very difficult as you always have somewere a reduced production capacity. As everyone increases production chains in such a way to produce the items what's most profitable for him or her.

Second...is there no page to see results of events, like how many people made it to the end? This shows everyone an indication if the event was reachable for them.
So we both did not could much progess in the crisis getting 7.5K of map fragments. Thats a huge amount , you can not collect in 7 days. THe trade price where also sky rocked, 8k gold for 1000 map fragments. So you need a lot of high lvl gold coins press to get so much coisn produce in 7 days.

    Several options there:
    - You produce those map fragments in your RPH. It only takes 6 hours and 15 minutes to produce 7500 fragments, thus one of the quickest and easiest sub-quest.
    - You are part of a guild and borrow temporarily the amount of map fragments you need from a fellow guildie, before sending those back once the sub-quest completed.
    - You prepare your island by planning ahead: the crisis event was announced weeks ago on both the test server as well as in wiki, so all requirements were known beforehands.

That said, it seems some players took it too literally by upgrading the watchtower they got from a previous crisis event.
Why would they have assumed that ALL players did have said-building and therefore that it was the one to upgrade, using their tokens (or complaining about the lack of, due to their refusal to complete a weekly) instead of checking the building on the island in the middle, which is the stage of most events?

On the test server, the bookbinder originally delivered a tome as weekly reward, before it was nerfed to a petty manuscript.
So yes, it was really very nice to have books from explorers during this crisis event, but that was somehow only a temporary patch to make up for the general disappointment about the nerfing.
There are still so many gens/explorers/geos to skill, thanks to (because of?) the non-stop events of late and I remain unimpressed with the weekly manuscripts from both tributes (even when buffed)...

So i finished on the last day.
My sandy and north accounts though which had foolishly ventured over to the level 56 had no chance.
Seems its best not to level up.
Was fighting windmills from Aug 2012 to Oct 2019.

Still they have made the event on High Lvl Players and big guilds. We are small guild of 3 friend of real life who use it a nice pimped chat. Yeah i know maybe i made previous event bad choices. I am playing sinds pre beta test 2012 switched to Anno online and came back when that was abondon. If you do not have RPM then you are screwed, you need to have recipy unlocked. and you need to produces lots of paper to get the 50 map fragments. I did not calculated i think you need to have focues on lots of simple paper while you produce enough for RPH. maybe i needed earlier to check the forum how you could solve the quest. It was nicer that it was a tip in the quest info how to produce fast map fragment and not need to send all your explores to find map fragments or adventures.

Yeah for me the same. It is strange the event expect you to have the event building or if they want to make money they must sel the building RPH for gems and the reciepies too needed to produce the stuff for the quest. Also the expect to that you are in a big guild so you could trade easy but if you are onlone or in a small guild the huge quantaties of goods is an issue. I expect soon the annevery event and that also a huge drain always on your stockpile.

You could have asked help in the game chat like I saw other people do, eg. in trade chat. If that map fragment task was too hard then you could have just used gems to complete it. Crisis chain in total gives you enough gems to complete minimum of 4-6 sub tasks with gems depending of your level and task type.

I was a bit irritated at first since I had a very busy week ahead of me and no time for yet another "event". However, even with little spare time for the game I was able to complete everything without issues (or bugs happily), and the rewards were very generous: lots of gems and xp and goodies. As Mannerheim pointed out, it is not hard to find advice or assistance just by asking in the appropriate server chat channels if you do get stuck somewhere, or just drop a few gems on one part because you will earn more by finishing the others.

Now that there are two bookbinder tributes, I think they are more than adequate as a free bonus to production. I see no need to fully skill most of the specialists, I focus on main attack generals and the better explorers because that provides the best return on investment. I like the fact that it is not always practical, or even possible, to get every single thing 100% complete. It kind of maintains some semblance of a challenge.

I thought it was quite difficult but managed without gemming anything. I thought the find x through treasure search for the lower levels was a bit mean when for the highest one it was do a prolonged adventure search which is more deterministic.

Loved getting all the books from adventure searches.
