I finished the chain that contains "Go east!" and in the end received xp and some thing called Reward box. It explained that I should expect 50 gems or "Recipe: Manuscript" then I clicked on it and it viewed picture of 50 gems and message that I won 50 gems. But 0 gems were added to my stock and they are not in my storage as well.
the gems are credited the moment you open the box, not when you click the green tick to 'accept' them, which is very confusing, but you do get them.

Thank You. I'll accept this by now although it means that then the rolling between gems and manuscript recipe does not work /it's after the receiving according to your explanation/.
Next time I'll try to don't forget to capture screen before the box.
