Like the colourful weaver I make warm and fuzzy things to wear. I sew, knit, crochet and needlefelt.
I also recycle fabrics from old clothes into new garments to prolong their lifespan and breathe new life into them - it's frankenstyle!

I love watching my tropical fish swim around whilst waiting for the generals to transfer between islands.

Raider_ (Sandycove) has a hobby related to farming wood. Raider climbs trees for fun, and uses wood for fuel (burning) and to give to wood turners for furniture.

Sometimes Raider feels that we have forgotten one of our greatest natural resources. Harvesting wood doesnt mean cutting trees down. Trees can be reduced and re-grown (coppicing and pollarding). I feel the problem today in many countries is not the cutting down of trees, but replanting them afterwards. (of course I am not referring to rainforest or mature woodland).
