Just being able to search for the type of adventure should bring up ones with the same type would be helpful
I.e: -
Mission
Combat
Cooperation
Scenario
Mini
Venture

yes it would...
Current searches are, I believe, based on difficulty tiers not on types. That makes sense to me at least.
Ventures come from Excelsior, not from searches.
What's the difference between mission and combat (or even mini) for you?
There are specialised explorers who can bring back multiple maps with every search, Intrepid and Keener spring to mind, and when skilled correctly can bring one more map than they would normally do.
Out of those maps, I find they are of different kinds every time ranging between missions, coops and scenarios so there's something to surely fill my star menu and make sure I have always plenty of choices if and when needed.
can you expand on this? I see two different ideas:
1) Allow explorers to search for specific adventure types.
or
2) Allow the star menu search to filter based on the adventure type, ie searching for "mini" would only show mini missions.
I am going to assume you mean number 2, which gets a +1 from me.
I'm afriad there are more than just the types you have listed.
Additional types are:-
Experience
Resource
Epic
Epic raid aka fairy tale
Then we have the types for the adventure type event
Pirate
Cultist
Mercenaries
Bandit
Barbarian.
When it comes to Gene pools and shallow ends they can be found at the bar drinking pina colada's
Kotugo with the explanation on this one nails it on the head - 2) Allow the star menu search to filter based on the adventure type, ie searching for "mini" would only show mini missions.
For me, it's for more or less when you have an event asking to complete a specific type of adventure, being able to select "Filter by" would make it infinitely easier and quicker
Especially since when you get to a certain level, you don't actively pay attention to the type of adventures, only really the loot
