The only answer I can find so far, on the German Forums is: ''The live servers were hit by a hiccup.''
NSS
Players lost connections to servers- which happened on all servers.
It suggests some DNS issue which gets resolved when these servers updated - whish is ISP dependant and mainly based on routing through the web- Seeing a lot of the players managed to bypas sthe error by using a different route with a vpn shows that.
It also means that resolution of the issues was not entirely in BB's control
They make many mistakes but you can't blame em for every thing and then without much evidence except forum hearsays tell that they also selectively fix stuff so german players get an easier ride of it than the rest of it-
To be honest- the suggestion stinks to high heaven
This is not true. I am not sure if you are a native German speaker or if you are using a google translator which may cause confusion.
The connection problem was a global issue in all TSO instances and was fully resolved yesterday morning. The German instance was additionally "hit" with another problem (Telekom) and it was resolved on Friday, but it appeared on Thursday. It wasn't the "http error 500" issue which was resolved yesterday.
Feel free to translate the correct post here.
Am almost native german speaker - and problem on tsotesting was error 500 - same as on most live servers - and coming same time.
Error seem still to be on account.support@thesettlersonline.com - at least gmail can still not deliver my mail sent saturday
You said that the "error 500" was fixed on the DE instance quickly and before other instances - which is not true and I explained above why.
Direct emails are not working since we announced the technology change on our website. If you would like to contact the support team please use the contact form here.

Are the servers down or something?
