    Not for most of us. For most of us the client doesn't, never has, and I expect never will work! Also, what about all the steam users?

    The old 'Slim Browser' client is irrelevant; it is not the client that will be deployed before the start of the xmas event.

    The new download client is very much different, and is working on test server.

    yes slim browser is defunct so noone needs worry about that not working is all new when it gets released thik would clear up some confusion if BB did sensible thing and remove option to download old slim browser can already see the confusion and shouts when new client goes live some stage this week

    will we be able to log on to the client via facebook as i have been unable to switch to my ubisoft account

    there's new guides and pictures to follow. try them ones.

    ok so I now disconnected from facebook, and have a legacy account log in! I cannot connect to uplay as it has been linked to a 'lvl 1' account when i tried to sort this all out previously. I have selected to delete the lvl 1 acount which takes 14 days. SO my question is - will i be able to log into the client using my legacy account? or will I be locked out until the 14 days are up and am able to connect my legacy to my uplay account?

    If i am locked out then I will miss a large part of the event!

    you're in the wrong topic anyway. mail support or read again and see what you've done wrong.
    you've mentioned 14 days. that's an old guide i believe

    Wrong topic or not be nice to get an answer I bet.

    Quickest solution is to make a new email account the same as the one you have but with a 1,2 or similar on the end. Then go to login page and select change email and follow the easy instructions for doing that. Then re-do the creation of the Ubisoft account using the new email, job done
