I had exactly the same issue. Try logging in again and looking again in your quest menu.

I wonder if there will actually be someone that buys the highly priced industrial mines bundle, feedback was there for it and other stuff, but as usually they ignore the feedback

Yep, that's what I had. Logging out then logging back in made it return to the quest menu list on the left. I was then able to go back to the adventure at the same point that I had left it.

unlimited 1x1 storage towers are the obvious go to

I like storage towers AND fully upgraded they are very pretty.
