If I join somebody's adv, we get the chat tab show up,
If I then start my own multi-player adv, a 2nd tab used to show, but for a while now the 2nd tab has not shown, so in some instances we are unable to chat about the adv unless we use another tab

Same for me except I've only ever seen one adventure chat at once.
