I can't seem to finish a quest, because my level is not high enough.
The quest is to "Have your specialists complete 6 "Adventure Search (very long)" task(s)". I'm currently at level 52 and my explorers can't do very long adventure searches just yet. The only option to complete this is to use gems, but shouldn't it be possible to do these quests in a normal way?
I'm afraid the bad news is this is not a bug. You may not have noticed but these quests have been getting harder and harder as you progressed through each of the celebration rounds. If you are below level 56 you will have hit a level wall somewhere either not being able to send your explorers on a certain search or it would have been the inability to meet the target of one of the production quests.
Congratulations on getting so far at the speed you have managed to achieve it.
you could use crystals from the calendar & event quests to make short letters and use those gems to complete the quest - depends on how badly you want to complete it; and if you haven't used them all for venture maps ofc
