I logged into my account and i am haveing to start all over I was in the 50s as far as my level had 4 gem mines running and had part of the extra islands to the south opened. I had alot of generals and items I had purchased on it and when I log into the game I can see my old portrait flash and disappear.
sounds more if u have an account issue and it connects you to a "new island"instead of old one- need to trawl the forum for the posts that say what you need/can do to get it solved
I have looked think I logged into a wrong server I stopped playing shortly after unity went live.
