    [Sandycove] CHAT is DEAD

    From today afternoon, dont be surprised, chat is dead, if you post something or whisper, other side or even you see only name and empty line, which is gone after refresh/reload.

    So far, mail is working, but ineffective way of communication

    Okay! Chat is dead, it seems.

    When the chat app did not load for me despite multiple logins, refreshes, cache clearing... (the routine) and I could not see anyone online (green dot), I thought our beloved BB community managers & mods probably banned me again.

    Anyway, will wait till it is functioning again.

    it's appears that you can see what you typed in 1:1 but it's only you that can see it, apart from that you can't see anything in the other channels apart from the name of the poster.

    Feels so lonely with No Chat at all. Please BB i know its weekend which seems its worse on especially when no one in the office. Please fix it.

    You see it is a very complicated process.
    1. An employee will need to get up tomorrow morning (and it is a Monday), go all the way to BB office.
    2. Open the gates and the door and switch on the coffee machine.
    3. Switch on the laptop/PC and all connected devices.
    4. Surf the internet for the latest political and celebrity/movie scoops.
    5. Have a cup of coffee.
    6. Login the game to realise the chat is not functioning.
    7. Check the forums to see your post and realise it has been the case for two days in the middle of an adventure season.
    8. Sort it out.
    9. Post an apologetic forum post blaming the data-centre migration for the same, and thanking the community to bare with them.

    Yeah, tomorrow (Monday) late afternoon looks good.

    P.S.: The timelines might further get extended if there is rain, snow, thunderstorm, road signals not working, cat crossing the road etc. where the offices are located.

    Erm, i hate to burst the bubble, that is far too simplistic

    The guy opening the gate is not allowed int he server room nor allowed to post on forums
    The guy reading forums first has to book a meeting with the guy to push the reboot button
    The guy rebooting needs to then submit a report
    the poster then needs to verify it actually works
    have a break
    then post on forums it is fixed

    And maybe theyhave a quality contriol guy in that loop as well

    And yet again it is a sandycove issue as NFL is fine - although chat is relatively quiet as well :P
