why would anyone care about some new building without space to place it on?
It is not placed on a spot where you are able to build anything yourself, so it does not take away any building spots.

during 'rock in a hard place' I gained 5 boxes of offcuts which gave me shards in my star, just started 'altered state' and again I was given 5 mystery boxes, I opened one, no problem, but then tried to open a 2nd and the game just kept spinning, after a refresh the 3 remaining had gone and there was no extra shards other than from the first.
As there is no or very little info about it, I have no idea what is a bug and what isn't, should i have got five mystery boxes or not
So I am on my first 4-day chain. Looking at wiki it suggests 3 out of 4 chains have this "mine all and wait 36 hrs" quest. Could there be anything less creative? No option for speed up, no variation, just wait roughly 2 days for mines to finish. Game killer. So that already looks like a big fail. The next question is if there will ever be anything interesting in the boxes. If not, this whole Starfall is true to it's name. Shone bright for a few seconds, but soon gone into oblivion. In nutshell we get the opportunity to spend some resources for the privilege to wait for 2 days and then open boxes with rewards which do not move the game anywhere? Not sure how many I opened so far, maybe just one? But found nothing of value.
Hopefully the developers can pull out something better and more interesting then this next time.
EDIT: and it looks like I have the bug already mentioned somewhere - 5 shard containing boxes, but only the first one actually opened and rewarded shards. Rest of them just kept spinning and gave nothing.

someone needs to own up and admit that this is the big waste of time with next to no real rewards! Who signed this off? Why has there been no official response to the feedback so far probably because they are embarrassed to admit that it is bugged, badly thought through and they have failed to provide any real information about the event and the so called rewards. So tell us what are we trying to win! Why have to wait 36 hours? is our time that meaningless to them that we are sent away to twiddle our fingers? Please explain the whole point of the event, its rewards and sort out the rediculous waiting time so we can then take an informed view of whether we would be better off watching paint dry!

Some items are still produced in p house, did you look there. Maybe you forgot to use the buff you made or got from the last quest. Look in star, both in the buff part and in the last tab.
